Cancer “Thriver” Shares her Story of Healing Stage 3 Cancer without Surgery:
Treatable and Beatable Author Speaking at Upcoming Palomar Women’s Conference

San Diego, Calif. (May 3, 2007) – Local author and award winning international speaker, Carolyn Gross, will share her Treatable and Beatable mindset when she speaks about her experience of healing stage three cancer without any surgery. Considering herself to be a cancer ‘Thriver’ instead of ‘Survivor’, Carolyn dedicates herself to sharing her message of hope and healing with others. With the recent cancer recurrence of Elizabeth Edwards, as well as local news anchor Bill Griffith, people are looking for new ways to live with cancer and prevent it. Carolyn’s message is timely and needed.

Ms. Gross will also speak at the Palomar Pomerado Women’s Health Conference on May 19th, 2007 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Conference Center in San Diego. Popular co-host Joan Lunden, of ABC’s Good Morning America from 1980 to 1997 will be the keynote speaker.

In Carolyn’s program, “Shine or Whine: Managing Chaos with Confidence” she will discuss how she managed to shine in spite of her diagnosis of stage three cancer in 2003. Her new book Treatable and Beatable: Healing Cancer without Surgery, offers patients and their caregivers the treatable and beatable mindset in overcoming any disease. Rather than succumbing to the radical mastectomy surgery recommended by several doctors, she claimed her power and investigated alternative healing methods that worked. Her research uncovered a cancer vaccine that educated her own immune system to destroy the tumor with low dose chemotherapy and radiation. Today Ms. Gross is cancer-free for four years and dedicated to sharing her experience and encouraging others.

The Palomar Pomerado Women’s Health Conference is a full day event with 12 educational sessions filled with health and wellness information. The event begins at 7:30am-4:00 pm on Saturday May 19th, 2007. Visit their website for more information www.pph.org or call (800) 628-2880.

Carolyn Gross is also the author of Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos, a book that teaches how to rise above the chaos and thrive in challenging times. For more information visit her website www.treatableandbeatable.com.
